[00C; i'll powerplay the guy vamp,kk?] Aurelia pranced through the woods, gloriously happy. Alone time with her sister always made her ecstatic. They rarely talked about trivial matters when they were alone, as sisters often do, but the deeper things, and sometimes, they didn't talk at all, but reveled in the beauty of the world around them, the picturesque. As time pased, Aurelia knew in her heart that things would work out for them, and Sammi too. They were just made that way.Things happened to the Johnstons, typically for the better. But the fact was, Aurelia felt the same as her sister, and this trip wasn't simply a woodland getaway-hunt with Emma. Aurelia was foolishly searching for a mate in the desolate and dreary woods of Forks. In the suppressed yet more rational part of her totally irrational mind, she knew that finding love didn't happen overnight, and was preparing to be let down. But the irrationality won over, and here she was, running like a fool, barefoot in the pine needles. Hmmm...

Emma ran after her sister, laughing. It wasn't likely they would find a vampire boy anywhere near Forks. The Cullens were well known for being the second largest coven of mythical land, but they didn't get visitors that often. They were running over the moist land, cushioning her feet even more than the pines. She was barefoot, like her sister. Emma hadbeen practicing running in heels, but she couldn't run fast enough, and that bugged her. She didn't run as fast as her sister, so she was losing ground. Even if she didn't run as fast, she could jump much farther. She flew to the highest branch that could hold her weight, and jumped as far as she could high in the sky, and then plopped down 50 feet in front of her sister. Emma turn and blew a quick rasberry at her sister, and stifled a giggle.

Aurelia paused as Emma leaped over her, seeing something her sister hadn't. A boy, vampire obviously, was coming toward them, with an easy, loping human stride. Well, to call him a boy would be an understatement, because even from this distance Aurelia's sharp eyes detected he was around her age. She could not tell if he was a good looking vampire, nor if he was a vegetarian, but she froze curiously all the same.
"Emma...turn around," she said waveringly to her sister. But she didn't have tme to see if she obeyed. Suddenly, all of her old newborn instincts bubbled threateningly beneath the surface of her calm as the newcomer spotted them and whizzed to the clearing where they were standing.
"Hi," he said cautiously. He had short, dark brown hair, a strong body rippling with muscles and a kind, angular face. Aurelia started at his voice.
"I'm Nicolas. I heard there was a coven of vampires around here, pretty big, and I've come to check it out."
Warily, she replied.
"I'm Aurelia, and this is my sister Emma. Yeah, there is a coven of vampires around here, and they are pretty powerful fighters. You wouldn' t by any chance be from the Volturi, would you?"

Emma felt a wave of an unusual scent hit her nose. It was a vampire. She heard her sister whisper "Emma, come here" She stopped at the edge of the trees, and turned. A violent hiss escaped her lips. She ran to her sisters side, in a defensive crouch. "I'm Nicolas," The strange man had dark brown hair, tousled by the breeze. He wore clothes that he had obviously been hunting in. They were stretched, and his gray t-shirt was obviously gotten from a goodwill store. Emma hadn't been used to seeing poor vampires, but they did exist. She threateningly stared at him, protecting her humans, and their way of life.
Emma watched as her sister replied, and she straightened up. She couldn't believe that Aurelia had been so bold as to ask if he was from the Volturi. It would be so helpful to have Edward here, he could see for sure. After that, he was sure to say no, even if it was a lie. Emma looked for a power of his, to make it easier to defend themselves. She found none, except a very large amount of curiosity, maybe that was what was intensified over transformation.
"Where do you stay, is anyone with you? Or are you a nomad?" Emma sounded another question in her piano like voice. Inhaling a deep breath, she noted his scent, fruity almost, that had a strange cinnamon tone to it. It smelled very unique, but wonderful none the less. His eyes were black, saying he was thirsty, but not helping to differentiate whether he was a vegetarian or not. He couldn't be, or else he would have found one of the two, well three now, including themselves, good vampire covens. She through this all through in less than a second, and smiled.
"Don't hunt here, it is very hard to keep a permanent residence here with so many of us, but it would be harder if you added to it. We will be happy to introduce you to our coven, but please, refrain from doing any harm here. I see that you are thirsty, so maybe you should settle that somewhere else before we get to know each other any better. Emma smiled and stole a glance at her sisters face, that showed she was thinking hard, a crease formed between her eyebrows.

Aurelia shot a furtive glance at her sister that clearly said, Let me do the talking! Unfortunately, Emma was seriously lacking in the Holding Your Tongue When Needed Department. This minor flaw was not really helpful in sticky situations like this. She carefully read Nicolas's poker face to see if Emma's harsh questions had offended him in any way. So far, it seemed no harm had been done. Hmm.
"If it makes you two feel any better about me on your land, I don't hunt humans and I am not from the scum Volturi," said Nicolas. Good. A rule breaker. He went on. "I'm looking for a coven to join. I'm not a threat, I've just been alone for a very long time." Aurelia rolled her honey colored eyes. She was 100% sure that Emma would try to find the sentimental meaning in his last statement. Sigh.
"Since we've determined that you're not a threat, I think we can handle you." Aurelia smiled. Emma sullenly said nothing.
"Oho, you think so, do you?" he said with a playful grin. Aurelia laughed.
"Very funny. Getting back to the subject at hand. The largest coven around here is the Cullens, but they're pretty much booked. Then there's the Denali coven, but there all the way in Alaska, talk about snow blindness. The only other coven is us, and we'd be happy to let you join."
"That sounds reasonable." Nicolas replied amiably.
"Well then. Come with us, you look thirsty. We'll hunt, and then take you back to our place. We have a spare room, don't we?" Aurelia looked at Emma, who eyed Nicolas with distaste. She took that as a yes.
"So, come on then. Bet you can't outrun a girl in True Religion jeans!" she bantered, and took off, relishing the feel of the wind in her hair. Emma caught up laboriously and glared at her obvious flirting. Well, Emma could glare all she wanted, but for once, Aurelia was doing something for herself, and to heck with trying to please the world. She was doing this her way, whether Emma liked it or not!

Emma glared at her sister. She had been watching too many movies. You have to play hard-to-get with these kinds of guys. Aurelia had been watching too many movies, with the hair flipping and giggling. Sigh, Aurelia was going to ruin every chance at getting this guy! Emma jumped back up to the top of the trees, jumping from branch to branch. She caught up to Aurelia, and hissed.
"We don't know if he is safe, we have to take him to the Cullens, Edward's power would be very helpful here!" She ran to Nicolas. "You can understand how we don't completely trust you under the circumstances, my sister should be more careful. Feel free to satiate your thirst, but please only hunt animals, be extra careful. I have to talk to my sister, we will find you when we are done. Emma sighed, exasperated at her sister for making her run back and forth, because all Emma really wanted to do know was endlessly run. She jumped at her sister. 'Meet me at the house, now" Emma ran in the direction of their house, nodding to Nicolas, telling him not to follow. MOVE TO JOHNSTON HOUSE
